Mahendrapalli is a small east facing temple with a 3 tier Rajagopuram and Temple Tank in front. In the Tamil month of Panguni the Sun’s rays fall upon the lord for a week.To facilitate this the Nandi’s head is moved slightly to the left.

History

Thevaram Hymns have been rendered by Thirugnanasambandar (7th Century CE) for the Lord here at Mahendrapalli.

After Chidambaram cross the kollidam river bridge and take a right to Mahendrapalli which is about 19kms junction.
