History

Tirumangaiazhwar (One of the 12 Alwars – 7th to 10th Centuries CE) and others have sung hymns of Divya Prabhandham here at Thirumaanikoodam Thirunangoor in praise of the Lord.

Legend

Chandran is believed to have worshiped the lord after bathing in the Theertham here to rid himself of a curse. Garuda is also said to have requested the lord and received his Darshan here at Thirumaanikoodam Thirunangoor.
