Thalayalankadu is a nicely located medium sized temple with an entrance arch and a large temple tank in front.

History

Thirunavukkarasar (7th Century CE) has rendered Thevaram Hymns here for the lord.

Mythology

The lord is believed to have danced upon the rabbits sent against him by the sages of Tharugavanam and broken their backs. Hence the name of the lord (Aadal, Nadanam refers to Dance).

Thalayalankadu is about 14 kilometers Northwest of Thiruvarur on the Kumbakonam road.
