Thirupurasundareswarar Thamaraipakkam is a small east-facing temple with an entrance from the south. A single small Prakaram houses all the shrines and the Sanctum Sanctorum. The base of the Lingam (Aavudayar) is a large one. A Balipeedam, Brass plated Flagstaff and Nandi are before the Mahamantapam which leads into the sanctum sanctorum. Both God and Goddess are visible from the same spot.
