Renganada Perumal Seydunganallur is an east-facing temple that should have been quite large in the olden days. Today all that is left in the middle of the ground is the Sanctum Sanctorum and a small Mandapam in front. The sanctum sanctorum has some wonderful carvings all around and the Vimaanam is quite large in size. The Tamiraparani River flows a couple of kilometers east of the temple in a north-south direction. In front of the Renganada Perumal Seydunganallur temple, a little distance away, flows the south canal of the river which takes off from Seevalaperi and goes south beyond Sattankulam and drains into a lake, serving agricultural needs all along.

Sacred Tree (Sthala Vriksham) – No information
Renganada Perumal Seydunganallur is an ancient temple as is evident from the architecture and carvings. Historical information is not available as of now. From the looks of some of the new stones at the foundation and above we feel that some inscriptions could have been there and probably lost or kept elsewhere during the renovation.
