Mukkaneeswarar Molasi is an east-facing temple with an entrance gate through a Mukha Mandapam on the east side. A large Nandi faces the main deity from its mandapam. The temple is situated in a single prakaram. The sanctum sanctorum of the main deity is straight ahead of the entrance. On the north side of the Sanctum Sanctorum is the shrine of the goddess. The shrine of Muruga is in the middle in a Somaskanda formation. All the 3 deities are facing east and all three have separate entrances leading into the respective mandapams. The Cauvery River flows on the south side of Mukkaneeswarar Molasi temple.
