Mutheeswarar Konnaiyar is a very small east-facing temple with an entrance from the east side. The original temple has been completely lost and new structures with no architectural sense whatsoever have been built. There are still the old Dwajasthambam standing outside, the old Balipeedam and Nandi in its Mandapam. There is a large Selliamman temple in front. The Thirumanimuthar River is flowing on the east about 100 meters away. An ancient Perumal temple is about 50 meters behind Mutheeswarar Konnaiyar.
