Chandramouleeswarar Mamandur is a large dilapidated east-facing temple with 2 Prakarams. The temple entrance is from the south through a gateway mandapam. On either side of this mandapam are carvings of Vinayaka and Muruga with consorts. The outer Prakaram walls are damaged and the prakaram does not have any installations except the Nandi mandapam and balipeedam on the east side. A Mukha Mandapam with a 3 tiered gopuram leads into the inner Prakaram. The entire inside prakaram is covered and is in danger of falling down in places. The main deity is a small Shiva Lingam. Another Nandi faces the Lord in this Prakaram. There is a larger Lingam in the Prakaram behind the sanctum sanctorum. The Amman shrine is adjacent to the sanctum of the main deity and faces east.
