Vasishteswarar Pilapur is a small and old temple which has been very grotesquely painted up recently. Nevertheless it is a clean and beautiful temple. The entrance is from the west with a small gate in the south leading to a large Peepal tree on the south with a nice Vinayakar idol below. Indications of a large temple tank is seen in the east.

Vasishteswarar Pilapur is about 5 kilometers to the north taking the immediate right after crossing the Paalar River after Chengalpet when you go from Chennai.
