Thokkeeswarar Villiambakkam is a beautiful medium sized temple with a single Prakaram housing the sanctum and all the shrines. There is a temple pond east and in front of the temple. the temple is entered through a gate in the south. The specialty of this temple seems to be that all the shrines have niches deities. For Ganesha – Saraswathi in standing form, Lakshmi and Brahmi, for Muruga – Guhan, Dandayudhapani, and Subramanya, for Goddess – Koumari, Vaishnavi, Brahmi, Maheswari and Varahi. Navagrahas are seen with their Mounts.

Thokkeeswarar Villiambakkam is 6 kilometers northwest of Chingleput in the Walajabad Road. You have to take a right at Villiambakkam and cross the level crossing. A short distance away the temple is visible from the road, but the approach road is narrow.
