Agasteeswarar Appur is an ancient temple which has been neglected and almost lost over time. The Lingam is seen in the lone sanctum. There are some wonderful carvings of the snake, tortoise and fishes on the ceiling of the Artha Mantapa. At the entrance on either side are beautiful carvings of Ganesha and Karthikeya. There is a Kalyana Venkatesa Perumal temple also in the same compound though this looks like a later addition.

Agasteeswarar Appur is about 6 kilometers Northwest of Singaperumal Kovil on the Oragadam Highway. You have to take the service road on your lefr at Appur and drive inside to reach the temple. You will see the Oushadagiri temple on your right. Refer our map below for location.
