Virupaksheeswarar Sevoor is a large east facing temple with an entrance gate from the east. The sanctum sanctorum of the lord and his consort are situated in the spacious single Prakaram. A large area belonging to the temple is behind which is used as a playground and parking. A temple car is stationed inside.

Virupaksheeswarar Sevoor is about 3.5 kilometers northwest of Aarani off the road going to Vellore. Perumal, Muruga, and Jain temples are also nearby in the same village. Nearby on the lakeshore and south of the temples is an Ettiamman Temple which is said to be very ancient.
