Legend

Veera Raghava Perumal Naduvarkurichi is believed to have been made into a big temple by an oil trader who had incurred heavy loss in his business. He prayed to the lord and embarked again to meet with failure. Devastated he went to sleep. In his dream appeared the lord and told him to now look at the stock in his warehouse. To his surprise he found Ghee in the barrels instead of oil. As ghee was in demand he ended up making a huge profit, revived his business and built up the temple.
