Venkatachalapathi Tiruvenkatanathapuram is an east-facing temple with 3 Prakarams including the car street outside. Situated at a small elevation the temple is reached by climbing a flight of 12 steps. These steps represent the 12 Azhwars. The entrance Mantapam leads into an outer Prakaram which is sheltered on top. The inner Prakaram is entered through a 3 tiered gopuram. On the southern side of the Prakaram is a metal Garuda with folded wings and conch and disc in his hands which is considered a unique representation. The processional deity is Srinivasa Perumal with his consorts Sree Devi and Bhoodevi. Also present alongside is Alarmel Mangai Thaayar.
