History

Ramaswamy Kadayam is an old temple but historical information is not available as of now. Old Kadayam Village, where a famous Nithyakalyani Amman Temple is there, is the place where the famous poet Subramanya Bharathiyar spent some time as this is his wife’s native place. He composed his famous patriotic songs, Kali songs, and revolutionary songs namely “Chinnanchiru Kiliye”,”Odi Vilayadu Pappa” and “Kaani Nilam Vendum” from here.
