Avudainadar, Mithilaipatti is a grand old east facing temple with large walls all around. All the shrines are inside a single prakaram. A large temple tank is on the northern side. Outside on the north east side is a shrine for Poyyamozhi Vinayagar. The entrance is on the eastern side and does not have a Rajagopuram. The entire temple is covered on top and only the pathway around is left uncovered. There is a Perumal temple in the same village.

Avudainadar, Mithilaipatti is an old temple. We could not find any inscriptions but the temples features are all very old.

Avudainadar, Mithilaipatti is about 25 kilometers south west of Pudukottai. At Panayapatti take the left that goes towards Tirupathur and drive for about 6 kilometers to reach Avudainadar, Mithilaipatti.
