Chockalingam, Rangiyam is a an old east facing temple with large walls all around. There are 2 Prakarams. The outer one is open and the inner one is covered enclosing all the shrines . A large temple tank is on the east side outside the entrance. There are two entrances in front, one leading to the main deity and one to the goddess shrine.

Chockalingam, Rangiyam is an old temple. We could not find any inscriptions but the temples features are all very old.

Chockalingam, Rangiyam is about 26 kilometers south west of Pudukottai. At Panayapatti take the left that goes towards Tirupathur and drive for about 6 kilometers to reach Chockalingam, Rangiyam.
