Perumal, Kannanur is an east facing temple that has dilapidated badly. The temple is on the main road and only the sanctum sanctorum remains now. There are some beautiful carvings on the Vimana on top of the Sanctum. There is a Garuda and remnants of a mandapam in front. Nearby is a Muruga Temple that also needs attention to renovate.
