Valee of Ramayana, who was killed by Lord Rama, is believed to have prayed here at Vaaleeswarar Thiruparkadal. The legend is depicted in the niche on top of the wall of the entrance.
Vaaleeswarar Thiruparkadal is on the right side of the road going inside to Kaveripakkam Ranganathaswamy temple. Many temples are in this area and you will require half a day to see them all properly.
Kaveripakkam has a few large snack shops. The highway has many restaurants.
