Padaleeswarar Brahmadesam is an ancient large Chola Temple excavated and being renovated by ASI. The temple faces east with walls of stone. The Mantapas are stone with some parts in bricks. All the Niches around the sanctum sanctorum were empty when we visited around 2011. There are some very good carvings and carved pillars.

When going towards Villupuram from Tindivanam, take the right after the Veedur dam signboard and after crossing the Gingee river bridge. The road will take you to this temple via Esalai (visit the Esalai Siva Temple). The distance from Tindivanam to Padaleeswarar Brahmadesam would be about 40 kilometers. Also visit the nearby Brahmapureeswarar temple. There is also a cave temple for the Trinity in Madagapattu nearby.
