Hyagrivar Nanganallur is a small but popular temple twin towers (3 tiered and single tiered) at the entrance. The temple faces east. A temple car has also been made in recent times. The lord and his consort have one eye on each other and one on the devotees, embracing each other. Hyagriva is the horse faced form of Lord Vishnu. He is associated with good education, and along with the goddess they represent good matrimony, and is thus a very important temple. Festivals and events are happening throughout and the entire place has a lively atmosphere.

Hyagrivar Nanganallur is in the second main road of Nanganallur opposite Karnataka Bank and near ICICI Direct. We recommend using the map below to visit all the temples in this area as it can get confusing for new visitors. There are many other temples in Nanganallur, most of which are of recent origins – Arthanareeswarar, Dharmalingeswarar, Guruvayoorappan, Lakshmi Narasimha, Navaneetha Krishna, Rajarajeswari, Anjaneya, Ayyappa, Amman and more. All these temples are beautiful and popular. Plan for half a day to visit them as desired.
