Lakshmi Narasimhar Nanganallur is a new structure which has built up on the remnants of an ancient structure. Lakshmi Narasimhar Nanganallur has a beautiful and tall 5 tiered Rajagopuram at the eastern entrance, which is followed by a small temple tank and spacious premises. A large temple car is also present for the annual festival procession.

Lakshmi Narasimhar Nanganallur is a new structure which has been built over a ruined Pallava period Temple. Recent excavations revealed a five-and-a-half feet high idol of Mahavishnu indicating the original temple was built in the eighth century during by Pallavas. Along with this was also recovered some more idols, a rare kind of bell and a lamp. A stone with an inscription was also found mentioning a gift of gold/land made by one Kaveri Thenkarai Ravichathiran to keep two Lamps burning perpetually.
