Thirumangaiazhwar (One of the 12 Alwars – 7th to 10th Centuries CE) has sung 10 hymns of Divya Prabhandham here at Thiruthalaichangadu Nanmadhiyam in praise of the Lord.
Chandran’s curse is believed to have been removed here at Thiruthalaichangadu Nanmadhiyam. Perumal received his conch (Changu) from Lord Shiva here at Thiruthalaichangadu Nanmadhiyam and hence the name. The Shiva temple is on the opposite side of the main road.
Thiruthalaichangadu Nanmadhiyam is about 16 kms from Sirkazhi towards Tharangambadi. Also visit the Thalaichangadu Shiva temple on the opposite side of the main road.
