Thiruvaikunda Vinnagaram Thirunangoor is a small east facing temple. The lord is seen sitting on a lotus base with consorts Sreedevi, Bhoodevi and a 5 headed Aadhisesha behind.

History

Tirumangaiazhwar (One of the 12 Alwars – 7th to 10th Centuries CE) and others have sung hymns of Divya Prabhandham here at Thiruvaikunda Vinnagaram Thirunangoor in praise of the Lord.

Legend

Sage Uthanga is believed to have received Moksha here at Thiruvaikunda Vinnagaram Thirunangoor. Himsagan, an evil Asura, is said to have been brought here to Thiruvaikunda Vinnagaram Thirunangoor by the lord and given the Theertham to drink, thus changing him to do good henceforth.
