Kariya Kaliamman Periyamanali is a beautiful north-facing temple situated on a huge campus with a wedding hall and organized parking space. There is a wide Mukha Mandapam spanning the entire width of the temple with different forms of the goddess on top. The entrance to the main deity is through a small 3 tiered gopuram on top. This is followed by a long corridor extending the full width of the temple and a small door leading inside to the Maha Mandapam in front of the sanctum sanctorum of the main deity. There is a metal encased flagstaff in front. The main deity is in sitting posture adorned with lots of bangles. There are many stone idols of guardian deities on either side in the mandapam outside the sanctum sanctorum. There is a shrine for Muneeswara behind with 6 huge idols in sitting posture. Outside, on the opposite side, are temples for Mariamman, Angalamman, Shiva as Nageswara, and Venugopala.
