Mariamman Vasudevanallur is a small and popular east-facing temple with a 5 tiered Rajagopuram at the entrance in the east. The temple is situated in a single Prakaram. Behind and around the sanctum are the shrines of the other deities. The temple pond called Ammachiyar Kulam is outside. There is a shrine for Easanya Kubera Vinayakar outside near the main road. Mariamman Vasudevanallur is in a beautiful location with trees all around, in the backdrop of the western ghats and the Sivagiri Reserve forest.

Mariamman Vasudevanallur is said to be an old temple that has been in existence since the 16th Century CE as a thatched roof shelter over the idol under a Neem tree. The other structures have been constructed in recent times.
Pookuzhi ritual (fire walking) is a famous occasion here at Mariamman Vasudevanallur.
Mariamman Vasudevanallur is about 80 kilometers northwest of Tirunelveli via Sankaran Kovil and about 38 kilometers north of Tenkasi in the Rajapalayam Road. The temple is in the north outside town.
