Kandeswaramudayar Kadukkarai is a small east facing temple with a single prakaram. Entrance is from the east through a doorway. A small Dwajasthambam, Balipeedam and Nandi are in front of the door leading into the Maha Mantapam. This is followed by the Artha Mantapam and the Sanctum Sanctorum of the main deity, with the Goddess sanctum to your right. There are some excellent ornamental carvings where the details of the beads are visible. The carvings above the sanctum niches and on the pillars are also beautiful works of art. A temple tank is present north-east of the temple.

Kandeswaramudayar Kadukkarai is about 2.25 kilometers from the main road going from Nagercoil to Azhagiapandiapuram. Before reaching Azhagiapandipuram take a right at Darisanamcope and drive for about 2.25 kilometers to reach Kandeswaramudayar Kadukkarai. Bus services are available from the junction at the main road to the temple. Nearby is a perumal temple also.
