Kandeswaramudayar Kadukkarai is a small east facing temple with a single prakaram. Entrance is from the east through a doorway. A small Dwajasthambam, Balipeedam and Nandi are in front of the door leading into the Maha Mantapam. This is followed by the Artha Mantapam and the Sanctum Sanctorum of the main deity, with the Goddess sanctum to your right. There are some excellent ornamental carvings where the details of the beads are visible. The carvings above the sanctum niches and on the pillars are also beautiful works of art.
