Thirupanthikodu is a small Kerala style temple with a circular Sanctum Sanctorum and a 2 tiered conical top. There are 2 Prakarams and the entrance to the east facing temple is from both east and west.

Thirupanthikodu is the eleventh temple where Bhima dropped the Rudraksha seed to slow down the creature chasing him when he was on a mission to procure its milk for a Yaga. It is also believed that Mugilan the commander of a Mughal king’s army was killed by a large group of wasps and the first one went from this temple.

Thirupanthikodu is 3.5 kilometers south from the Nagercoil to Thiruvananthapuram Highway in a village called Palliadi. You have to take a left about 4.5 kilometers before Marthandam when you go from Nagercoil to reach the Thirupanthikodu temple.
