Thiruvithamkodu is a large east facung temple with entrance gateway from the east. A beautiful temple pond in front of the temple presents a serene picture. The temple has two Prakarams. The large outer Prakaram houses the Sanctum Sanctorums of Mahadeva and Mahavishnu. Each of the sanctums have their own flagstaff and circumambulation passage. The processional deities are taken on elephants during festivals and is said to be a beautiful sight.
