Brahmalingeswarar Kokkarayanpet is a large east-facing temple with a 5 tiered Rajagopuram at the entrance on the east side. There is a tall and beautiful Dwajasthambam on the large ground outside the Rajagopuram on the north side of this ground is a beautiful Vinayaka idol under a Neem and Peepal tree growing together. The temple is situated in a single large and beautiful prakaram filled with shade-providing trees and flowering plants. After the Rajagopuram is a long mandapam open on the sides leading inside the Mahamandapam of the main deity. This is followed by an Ardha Mandapam and the Sanctum Sanctorum where the main deity is seen in the form of a huge 5 feet tall Lingam. Around the prakaram are other shrines including an installation of Naagars and Vinayaka. On the south side of the sanctum sanctorum of the main deity is the separate east-facing shrine of the goddess. There is a smaller Maha Mandapam and Ardha Mandapam before the shrine of the goddess also.
