Kailasanadar Attur is a small east-facing temple situated inside a single Prakaram. The entrance is through a small gate on the south side. A gate in the east with a small gopuram on top is kept closed. Around the Prakaram are the shrines of the other deities. The Vasishta River flows north of Kailasanadar Attur. On the north side of the river is one of the Pancha Bhootha Lingam temples dedicated to Lord Shiva as Kaya Nirmaleswarar.
