Swarnapureeswarar Narasingapuram is an east-facing temple with an entrance gateway on the east side. The temple is situated in a single large Prakaram. A Mahamandapam open in the sides is common to both the main deity and Goddess. A beautiful Nandi is facing the lord here at Swarnapureeswarar Narasingapuram. A small Ardha Mandapam is before the sanctum sanctorum of the main deity. The temple has been renovated recently. The Vasishta river flows on the north side of Swarnapureeswarar Narasingapuram.

Swarnapureeswarar Narasingapuram is an ancient temple as is evident from a large number of inscriptions around the base of the outer walls of the Sanctum Sanctorum.
