Ulaganatheeswarar Konganapuram is a small west-facing temple situated in a single open Prakaram. The temple is a stone construction and has a monolith Dwajasthambam in front. An open pillared mandapam is in front of the Ardha Mandapam and the Sanctum Sanctorum. The main deity is a large Lingam. There is no Vimaanam on top. The Goddess shrine is separate facing east. The main deity here at Ulaganatheeswarar Konganapuram is one of the few Swayambu (self occurring) Lingams that faces west. There is an equally old Amman temple nearby with a beautiful Vimaanam.
