Vasanteeswarar Omalur is a small east-facing temple situated in a single open Prakaram. Entry is through a small gate on the east side. The Navagraha here at Vasanteeswarar Omalur are with their consorts. Surya is seen with his consorts seated on a chariot in the middle. In front of the Navagraha is a Shiva Lingam installed on top of the grave of Sarabanga Maharishi. A minor river called Sarabanga divides into the east and west branches near here and flows on both sides of the Vasanteeswarar Omalur temple. This river empties into the Cauvery near Annamar Kovil. Some of the stones of a nearby small temple of Lord Shiva as Vaitheeswara were used to build Vasanteeswarar Omalur. The processional deities of other temples in the area are also said to be kept here for safety. There is a Perumal temple and a Mariamman temple around Vasanteeswarar Omalur.
