Dharmalingeswarar Athuvambadi is an ancient east facing temple with a single Prakaram housing all the shrines and the Sanctum Sanctorum. A 3 tiered Rajagopuram is at the entrance in the east. The Prakaram is filled with trees including Wood Jasmine trees, the flowers of which had fallen all around emanating a beautiful fragrance. The goddess is in a separate east facing shrine. A stone Dwajasthambam is present outside the main entrance.
