Varundeeswar Thennampattu is a beautiful little temple situated amidst lush green fields. The temple is entered through a gateway in the south. The single prakaram houses all the shrines and the sanctum sanctorum. A shrine for lord Ayyappa has been built recently with 18 steps to lead up to the elevated structure. Naagar idols are located outside under a Neem and Peepul tree. A large temple pond is located east of the temple. The temple undergoing painting as in March 2020 is awaiting consecration soon.

Varundeeswar Thennampattu is 11.5 kilometers from Ocheri Junction in the road that would connect with the Arcot to Cheyyar Road. Ocheri is in between Damal and Kaveripakkam in the Chennai to Bangalore Highway.

None locally. Closest for food would be restaurants in the Chennai to Bangalore Highway. Murugan Idli Kadai is just before Kaveripakkam. Cheyyar has a few small restaurants.
