Varundeeswar Thennampattu is a beautiful little temple situated amidst lush green fields. The temple is entered through a gateway in the south. The single prakaram houses all the shrines and the sanctum sanctorum. A shrine for lord Ayyappa has been built recently with 18 steps to lead up to the elevated structure. Naagar idols are located outside under a Neem and Peepul tree. A large temple pond is located east of the temple. The temple undergoing painting as in March 2020 is awaiting consecration soon.
