Chera Chola Pandeeswarar Thirukolur is a large east-facing temple with 2 Prakarams. The entrance is through a Mukha Mandapam in the east. The outer Prakaram is very large and houses the main sanctum sanctorum and a separate shrine for the goddess on the south side. There is another main deity, Kasi Viswanathar just outside the sanctum sanctorum. The South Canal and Tamiraparani flow north of the temple. The location of the temple is very peaceful. In front of Chera Chola Pandeeswarar Thirukolur is a Navatirupati Temple of Lord Vishnu.
