Chokkalingaswamy Manakkarai is a small east-facing temple with a single Prakaram. The temple is constructed with stone, old and dilapidated, though signs of a revival effort can be seen in the form of fresh paint on the structures. A Balipeedam, Flagstaff, and Nandi are in front of the entrance Mandapam in the east. A small 3 tier Gopuram is on top of the entrance mandapam. A Mahamandapam, Ardha Mandapam, and Antralaya are present before the sanctum sanctorum of the main deity. The goddess shrine entrance is from the same Maha Mandapam.
