History

Meenakshi Sundareswarar Nambipuram is an old temple built by Karmiga Swamy Sidhdhar whose memorial is on the east side outside in the banks of the Vaippar River. He passed away as the temple was being built. The temple was in a dilapidated condition and a group of Saivite Devotees took it up for renovation. Having done the service a couple with their children decided to stay in this village and continue as caretakers. There is a Perumal temple also nearby in a dilapidated condition requiring urgent attention from well-wishers. Interested people can contact Srinivasa Ramanuja Das on 8220420137 to perform service and participate in the renovation. We do not recommend direct financial contributions to individuals anywhere on our website.
