Kasi Viswanathar Kooniyar is a small temple situated on the banks of a Canal, called the Kannadian Canal. The temple faces east and has an entrance gate in the south. A nicely carved bathing Mantapa is seen in the Canal behind the temple. At the east are a large number of Naagar idols installed alongside a well. Behind the temple number of Naagar idols have been piled.

The history of Kasi Viswanathar Kooniyar is not available. The Kannada canal flowing outside is named after a doctor of traditional medicine from Karnataka who is said to have cured the local King’s daughter. The money he received from the King was used for several good deeds including the creation of this Canal which has helped agriculture in the areas greatly.
