Sunaikanda Lingeswarar Edirkottai is a small east-facing temple situated in an open Prakaram. The entrance is through a gate in the south. A Mahamandapam and Ardha Mandapam is in front of the sanctum sanctorum of the main deity. The goddess shrine is separate. There is a small tank inside, called Sunai(natural spring), on the north side of the Prakaram.
