History

The temple of Annamalaiyar, Mannarkudi has several stone inscriptions and claims to be quite old. We heard from the local gentleman who is taking the efforts to renovate that it was built by one Vellala Maharaja.

Stay and Food

Mannarkudi is fine for food, but stay is not advisable. Udupi Sree Krishna Bhavan in Gandhi Road is a decent place to eat.
