Venkatesa Perumal Kadukkarai is a small and beautiful east facing temple with a 3 tiered Gopuram at the entrance. The temple has 2 Prakarams. Ravana and Vibeeshana are present as Dwarapalakas here. There is a shiva shrine inside at the north with a west facing Shivalingam and south facing Goddess. This temple is well maintained and reached through narrow streets.

History

Venkatesa Perumal Kadukkarai is an ancient temple which has been renovated recently. The adjoining west facing Shiva temple is also ancient. We came across some inscriptions related to Venkateswara perumal temple in this area, but are unable to confirm whether this belongs to this one.

Venkatesa Perumal Kadukkarai is about 2.25 kilometers from the main road going from Nagercoil to Azhagiapandiapuram. Before reaching Azhagiapandipuram take a right at Darisanamcope and drive for about 2.25 kilometers to reach Venkatesa Perumal Kadukkarai. Bus services are available from the junction at the main road  to the temple. Nearby, half a kilometer away, is another Shiva Temple also.
