Perumal Konnaiyar is a small east-facing temple situated in a single open prakaram with fields on one side. There is a stone Dwaajsthambam in front of the sanctum sanctorum. There is a small Ardha Mandapam before the sanctum sanctorum of the main deity. The main deity is a 5 feet tall idol of Lord Vishnu along with his consorts Sreedevi and Bhoodevi. The Thirumanimuthar River flows about 200 meters away in front of the temple on the east side. There is a Shiva temple and Selliamman Temple in the same village.

Perumal Konnaiyar is an old temple as is evident from the construction style and the fish symbols on the outer wall of the Ardha Mandapam. Historical information is not available as of now.

Perumal Konnaiyar is about 18 kilometers east of Thiruchengode and about 21 kilometers southwest of Rasipuram off the road connecting these two towns. Take the road going north after and before Elachipalayam respectively to reach Perumal Konnaiyar temple.
