Prasanna Venkatesa Perumal Valayapatti is an east-facing temple with a large entrance mandapam on the east side. This mandapam is an old structure and is like a Gopuram without the upper tiers. The sides of the doorway have ornamental carvings on them. After this is a spacious prakaram housing the shrines and sanctum sanctorum. In front is a Balipeedam followed by an open Mahamandapam with about 26 beautifully carved pillars. The carvings include Anjaneya and Mahavishnu among others. The Garuda Mandapam is on the east side of this mandapam. There are two large Dwapalakas on either side of the entrance to the Ardha Mandapam. The main deity in the sanctum sanctorum is a beautiful 4 feet tall idol along with his consorts Sreedevi and Bhoodevi on either side. The goddess shine is separate on the southwest side of the prakaram and faces east. On the ceiling of the mandapam are carvings of fish symbols. About 2.5 kilometers west of Prasanna Venkatesa Perumal Valayapatti is a beautiful hill temple for Maha Vishnu.
