Prasanna Venkatramanar Thipramadevi

Prasanna Venkatramanar Thipramadevi is an east-facing temple that is totally dilapidated. It is practically unsafe to enter and a lot of stones are strewn about all around. There are two Dwajasthambams outside the Mukha Mandapam on the east side. The first one is a tall structure with a 4 pillared mandapam at the base. On the base of the Dwajasthambam are carvings of Anjaneya, Garuda, Conch, and Disc. On the 4 sides of each of the pillars are beautiful carvings including all the ten Avatars of Lord Vishnu. A balipeedam is in front of the Mukha Mandapam which has about 32 pillars with carvings on them. After the Mukha Mandapam, a small 3 tiered Gopuram is on top of the doorway leading to the Prakaram inside. There is a Mahamandapam and Ardha Mandapam before the sanctum sanctorum of the main deity. There are two Dwarapalakas on either side of the entrance to the sanctum sanctorum where the main deity is in a standing posture along with his consorts Sreedevi and Bhoodevi. There are cloistered mandapams on the south and north side of the Prakaram. On the southwest side is the shrine for goddess Mahalakshmi. On the northwest side is the shrine for Aandal that is empty.
