Chenraya Perumal Pakkanadu is a small east-facing temple with an entrance through a gate in the east. The temple is situated in a single prakaram. There is a Mukha Mandapam, an open Mahamandapam and an Ardhamandapam before the sanctum sanctorum. The vimaanam is a large one. There is a tall stone dwajasthambam outside with Garuda and Anjaneya carvings. Near the entrance is a Vinayaka shrine. Chenraya Perumal Pakkanadu is surrounded by fields and coconut groves. On the north and west side are hills and the Pakkanadu reserve forest.
