Lakshmi Narayana Perumal Pudhupalayam is an east-facing temple with an entrance through a gate in the east. A stone Dwajasthambam with carvings of Garuda, Anjaneya, Conch, and a disc on the four sides in the base is in front. Pedestals for a flagstaff and Garuda are constructed and are yet to be installed. The temple is situated in a single Prakaram. An Ardha Mandapam is in front of the Sanctum Sanctorum of the main deity. The main deity is in a sitting posture with the goddess on his lap. There are remnants of a large Perumal idol. There is another Perumal idol installed in a shrine in the prakaram.

Lakshmi Narayana Perumal Pudhupalayam is about 15 kilometers southwest of Tharamangalam. From Tharamangalam take the road going south to Pappambadi. From here take the road going westwards to Jalakandapuram. At about 4 kilometers on this road take a left onto the road going east to reach Lakshmi Narayana Perumal Pudhupalayam. A little way further from this temple is a beautiful and ancient Shiva temple.
