Yoga Narasimhar Sogathur is a small east-facing temple with a single Prakaram. There are separate shrines inside for the deities. Yoga Narasimhar Sogathur is connected to the management of Ahobila Madam and their hall is just outside the gate. The Lord appears in a peaceful state and posture here called Shantha Narasimhar unlike the usual aggressive state of Narasimha.

Legend

Yoga Narasimhar Sogathur is connected with the legend of Brahma who lost the Vedas and in a sorrowful mood undertook a penance towards Lord Vishnu to revive him. He is believed to have had a dip at the Lakshmi Saras Theertham here at Yoga Narasimhar Sogathur and got relief from his state. Sogam in Tamil refers to the sorrowful mood of people and hence the place was called Sogabahathroopam and eventually became Sogathur.
