Varadaraja Perumal Vasavappapuram is a small east facing temple with a single prakaram. A small gate is at the entrance in the east. This is followed by a large covered courtyard with a Dwajasthambam and Balipeedam. The entrance to the prakaram is through a small gateway. A Maha Mandapam and Ardha Mandapam are before the sanctum sanctorum of the main deity.
